Such was not the case, however, for ICG 6002. It would be re-built to an SD40-2R and continue to pPy the rails in IC black for another 20+ years. . |

OK, this one is not in Southern Illinois. This unit coal train is on the Missouri Pacific heading estbound into St. Louis. ICG ran coal drags on MOP from Kansas City to power plants in Illinois. Even though those plants are in the middle of Illinois coal mining country, they had to import low-sulphur coal from Wyoming to meet EPA requirements. |
