Viewing Album:  Spinoffs of ICG

Album Info:In scanning my old Kodachrome slides, I came across a handful of shots of some of the regional rail operations that came and went in the aftermath of Illinois Central Gulf's dissolution. While the railroads included here are not all of the spinoffs, they are at least a decent representation. Unfortunately, all of these photos were taken at a time when I was beginning to drift away from the railfanning hobby. As such, my record keeping was pretty shoddy and the dates and locations of these photos are all rather suspect. If you see anything that doesn't look right, call it out -- there is a good chance you may be correct.

Description:  Part of the rag-tag collection that was the CM&W locomotive roster idles outside the engine facility in Bloomington. The Chicago South Shore unit at center-left in the photo was not part of that collection though -- apparently it was just visiting that day.
