| My first ever photo of an Amtrak train. My only photo of an Amtrak E-unit. And my only shot of The National Ltd which would be discontinued a little more than a year after this photo was taken. The vantage point for this shot was in the lead cab of a Conrail freight that had stopped in Caseyville, IL to let the passenger train go by. The date is uncertain - I only know for sure that it was the Summer of 78. |
